The Muslim Association of New Zealand Incorporated (MANZ) is a steadfast voice for the Muslim community, advocating for justice, equity, and understanding in New Zealand. Rooted in the Islamic principle of standing for what is right—“You are the best nation produced for mankind. You enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong” (Qur’an 3:110)—MANZ works tirelessly to represent our members’ interests, promote their well-being, and foster a harmonious society for all.
MANZ Advocacy seeks to amplify the voices of New Zealand Muslims, addressing issues that impact our community while building bridges with wider society. We engage with government, local councils, and community partners to ensure that Muslim perspectives shape policies, protect rights, and enhance social cohesion in Aotearoa.
MANZ’s advocacy efforts build on a legacy of resilience, inspired by the collective response to challenges faced by Muslims in New Zealand. Whether securing halal food access, supporting refugee integration, or influencing public discourse on inclusivity, we strive to create a society where Muslims thrive as equal contributors. Our work complements the efforts of our affiliates reinforcing a united front for advocacy.
